NAACP v. Thompson No. 21,741; 357 F.2d 831, cert. den. Johnson v. NAACP, 385 U.S. 280 (1966) Judge Whitaker, the author of the panel opinion in this case, was concerned with the motion of defendants for rehearing en banc, and thought that the motion should be granted. Judges Thornberry and Wisdom advised against it, and motion was denied. Includes TLS of Judge Whitaker on the merits and the panel opinion to be written.
