Labat v. Bennett Includes memoranda on: Scott v. Walker No. 20,314; 358 F.2d 561 (1966) While the judges had initially agreed that the opinions in these related cases would be released simultaneously, Chief Judge Tuttle later proposed, and the other judges agreed, that Scott be released without waiting for the others. The proposed Tuttle opinion was revised, once before having obtained the concurrences of the other judges, and a second time, just prior to release of the opinion, at the suggestion of Judge Brown. Includes TLS of Chief Judge Tuttle on his proposed opinion, and on certain revisions in it as suggested by the other judges. Also includes TLS of Chief Judge Tuttle, TLS of Judge Coleman, TLS of Judge Gewin and TLS of Judge Bell on the opinion's release. And includes TLS of Judge Brown on the opinion and on certain revisions as appropriate; TLS of Judge Gewin on the Brown suggestions; and, TLS of Chief Judge Tuttle on having revised the opinion.
