Judge Wisdom submitted his proposed per curiam opinion on rehearing en banc first to Chief Judge Tuttle and Judges Brown, Thornberry, Goldberg, Ainsworth, Dyer, and Simpson, and, once concurrences had been obtained from these judges, to the entire court. The per curiam was modified to meet suggestions of Judges Brown and Ainsworth, while suggestions of Judge Dyer were not adopted. Includes TLS of Judge Wisdom on the position of Judge Bell on the merits and the opinion on rehearing; TLS (2) of Chief Judge Tuttle, TLS of Judge Simpson and TLS of Judge Goldberg on the opinion as proposed to them by Judge Wisdom; and, TLS of Judge Brown, TLS of Judge Dyer and TLS of Judge Ainsworth on the opinion and its revision as appropriate. Also includes TLS (2) of Judge Wisdom, TLS of Judge Bell, TLS (2) of Judge Simpson, TLS of Chief Judge Tuttle, TLS of Judge Coleman, TLS of Judge Dyer, TLS of Judge Ainsworth, and TLS of Judge Gewin on the wording of the decree. And includes TLS of Judge Rives and TLS of Chief Judge Tuttle on the disposition of Alabama NAACP and Macon County in light of Jefferson.
